CONCRETE GARDEN STOOL
Bulging Eyes, Tongue Out, Flat on Top
Round protruding eyes under a serrated brow, flared nostrils, and a tongue extended past the lower teeth. Kanaloa is the ocean god, and this is the confrontational version of the face rather than the welcoming one.
The top is cut flat like a sawn log, with growth rings across it. Nineteen and a half inches puts it at stool height, so you sit on the god or you put your drink on him.
Twenty nine and a half pounds of concrete under a hardwood finish. It does not move when someone sits, and it does not need bringing in when the weather turns.
What Makes This Piece Different
- Thirty pounds, which is what makes it a seat rather than an ornament. Light stools shift when you sit down and that is the moment people stop trusting them. At 29.7 pounds this stays put under an adult, on grass or on decking. Weight is the difference between furniture and a thing shaped like furniture.
- A sawn log top, not a carved crown. Flat with growth rings across it, so the surface reads as timber cut through rather than as a head with a plate on it. That is what lets it work as a table without looking odd.
- The fierce version of the face. Bulging eyes, serrated brow, tongue out. Kanaloa carvings range widely and this is the confrontational end, which suits a bar or a poolside far better than a smiling one.
- Concrete under a hardwood finish. Warm brown with grain running through it, over a material that ignores rain, chlorine and frost. Real timber outdoors needs sealing every year.
Poolside, a deck, a covered bar, beside outdoor seating. It works as a seat, a side table or a plant stand, and at thirty pounds it stays where you put it. The face is the front, so turn it toward where people are.

Setup, Care, and Warranty
Placement
One piece, nothing to assemble. Set it on level solid ground so it does not rock when someone sits down.
Turn the face outward. From behind it is a plain column.
Using it as a seat
Thirty pounds of concrete takes an adult comfortably. Sit down onto it rather than dropping onto it, as with any hard seat.
Keeping the finish
Wipe with a soft cloth. Direct sun over years will lighten the warm brown, so a shaded or covered position holds the depth longer.
Winter
Sealed concrete stays outside year round. Keep it off ground that holds standing water.
3-year warranty
This product includes a 3-year warranty against cracking. Coverage, claim requirements and required documents are subject to the warranty policy that applies at the time of purchase. Keep your order confirmation and contact customer support with your order details if service is needed.
Questions Before You Choose
Who is Kanaloa?
The Hawaiian god of the ocean. Carvings of him vary widely and this is the fierce version, with bulging eyes and the tongue out rather than a welcoming expression.
Can an adult sit on it?
Yes. Twenty nine and a half pounds of concrete holds firm under an adult on level ground, which is what the weight is for.
How does it compare to the tiki side table?
That one scowls with clenched teeth and a heavy brow. This one has bulging eyes and a protruding tongue, and is the heavier of the two. Same height, different expression.
Is the top flat enough to serve on?
Yes, cut flat like a sawn log with rings across the surface. A drink, a bowl or a pot sits level on it.

At 19.6 inches, this is the perfect height for our patio chairs. The faux wood looks so real but won't rot like our last table.
Weighing almost 30 lbs, I was surprised by how solid it feels. It sits on our patio and doesn't wobble at all when holding drinks.
It looks exactly like the pictures. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to add a bit of magic to their outdoor life.
The Polynesian aesthetic is so fun. We use it as an extra seat when we have pool parties. It brings a smile to everyone's face.
It is pleasant to look at and works well as a table. The concrete feel is obvious when you touch it, but visually it works great as wood.
It's a great side table, but at nearly 30 lbs, it's a bit heavy to constantly move around the yard. Very wind resistant though!
We run a small outdoor cafe and put this near the entrance for people to set drinks on. Clients constantly compliment the fun vibe.
The carved wood details are so realistic. It really adds that perfect Luau vibe to my garden. Very high quality GFRC material.
It is a nice functional art piece. The menacing Kanaloa face is very authentic, maybe a bit too authentic for my toddler, but I love it.
The transition from plant stand to extra seating when guests arrive is seamless. It supports my husband's weight easily.
The way the sun hits the faux wood grain draws your eye down to the garden. A very thoughtful and fun design for a yard.
I placed this holding a tropical plant in my travel agency. The clients adore the Hawaiian theme. Very sturdy design.
Fits perfectly in the corner of our patio. We just wipe it down every few weeks to keep the dust off, and it looks brand new.
We use it between our two lounge chairs on the deck. The top is perfectly flat so our cocktails never spill.
I am so glad this is made of concrete. Real wood rots so fast here in Florida. This GFRC material is a total lifesaver for outdoor decor.
Brings a wonderful touch of whimsical elegance. The island design contrasts beautifully with the green ferns around it in the yard.
The structure is hard and full of detail. My only complaint is that moving the box it arrived in was a bit tough since it was 30 lbs.
We use it indoors near our large windows as a plant pedestal. The exotic vibe means I don't worry about it looking out of place.
It is a great stool. Just check the 11.8 width before buying. It works perfectly as a small side table for drinks and a book.
Creates a fun, resort atmosphere in our backyard. The weatherproof concrete is holding up perfectly against the rain and sun.
It does exactly what it says. The flat top is nice. The design is simple, maybe a bit too aggressive for some, but it fits my patio.
We put this in our indoor living room as a plant stand. Being freestanding and heavy made it easy to position safely.
I love that it is a 3-in-1 piece. I've used it as an extra seat when friends came over and as a table for my snacks. Very versatile.
You really cannot tell it isn't real carved wood until you tap it. They nailed the authentic cottagecore texture perfectly.
The faux-carved wood details are so vivid. It stays upright during windy days perfectly because of the 29.7 lb weight. Great design.
We've left it outside all summer. The paint is tough and effective against the UV rays. Highly recommend this brand.
The Tiki god brings such a nice exotic element to our pool deck. It genuinely looks like a magical island relic sitting there.
The Kanaloa setup looks very serene. I deducted a star because unboxing all the styrofoam was a huge mess in my living room.
My guests always fight over who gets to sit on the Tiki stool when they visit. It is completely wobble-free and very safe.
I loved that I could just pull it out of the box and put it on the porch. No assembly at all. Ready to use immediately!
A truly textural piece. It adds an earthy, fun element to our outdoor seating area. Highly recommended for any large patio or deck.
Works nicely as a plant stand. The texture is a little smoother than real wood, but it's still very cool and does the job well.
Added this to our sunroom and it brought the whole space a pop of island joy. It is a fantastic conversation starter with guests.
