Introduction
A fountain's color and texture help it fit with the house, paving and planting around it. Compare the finish in the selected product photos, then check the available color options for that model. A stone-look color name does not tell you the actual material.
1. Match Your Architectural Style
Start with one color already in the space, such as the paving, brickwork or furniture. Decide whether you want the fountain to blend in or stand out.
-
Modern & Industrial: Dark gray or black can suit clean lines, concrete paving and metal accents. Compare the actual finish in the model's photos; a dark color does not guarantee a particular material or water sound.
-
Mediterranean & Tuscan: Warm beige, tan or earthy tones can work with stucco, terracotta and warm wood. Choose from the color options actually listed for the model, rather than assuming every fountain comes in the same palette.
-
Classic & Formal: Pale gray, cream or an antique-looking finish can contrast with green planting and suit a traditional layout. A limestone or bronze look is a description of appearance, not proof that the fountain is made from either material.
2. Check the Finish with Water and Light

Compare photographs of the fountain dry and running, ideally in lighting similar to your chosen spot. Sun, shade, reflections and wet surfaces can change the appearance. Screen settings can also make a finish look different.
-
Dark basins: Reflections may stand out against a darker background, but the effect depends on the light, view and water movement. A dark finish does not make moving water still or tell you how deep the basin is.
-
Light basins: A pale background can make the bowl and water pattern easier to see. It does not guarantee blue or clean water. Keep the basin clean and judge the finish using photos of the actual model.
3. Indoor vs. Outdoor Considerations

-
Indoors: Compare the finish with the floor, walls and furniture. A similar tone can blend in; a contrasting tone can stand out. First confirm that the model is suitable for indoor use and leave space for splashes and cleaning.
-
Outdoors: Consider your "hardscaping" (patio stones, brickwork). You can either harmonize (choose a similar tone for a cohesive look) or contrast (choose a light fountain against a brick wall) to create a focal point.
Trust Your Instincts
Choose the color you enjoy alongside the rest of the space. Our products receive eco-friendly water-based paint before leaving our factory. Treat the finish as a painted surface, not as bare stone that needs to collect dirt or moss to look better.
Care for the painted finish
For light mineral marks on our painted basin surfaces, we recommend one part white vinegar to nine parts water with a soft cloth or soft brush. Rinse thoroughly before refilling. Avoid abrasive scrubbing and clean the pump separately according to its instructions. Drain and protect the fountain before freezing weather as the model requires.
Frequently asked questions
Does a limestone-look finish mean natural limestone?
No. Check the material field. A color or texture name describes appearance and may be used on concrete or resin.
Can every model be ordered in every color?
Choose from the options listed for that model. Contact us before ordering if the finish you want is unclear.
Will a darker basin hide the need to clean?
No. Check the water and basin regularly even when marks are less visible. The color does not keep the fountain clean.
